Installation problems

I have no experience with any of the things described in setting up Pixelpost but a friend has helped me get a FTP program, I have a web host that has mySQL and PHP abilities. My problem is very early on in the procedure of installing Pixelpost (I have the feeling I'll be back here).

Please can you specify exactly what you mean by "Edit" pixelpost.php?

Edit in what way?!

Ted

are you joking????

sorry. some basic things must be clear (in every working situation)

to edit normally means: to write something, to change some text, to fill in some text and so on?

You know what an editor is? A piece of software as well as a newspaper man

what you must do:

open the named file in an editor (notepad for instance)
read what is written there , you are asked to have some information about your database at hand, to enter this information at the top of the file where you are asked to write this information..

but, please, we are volunteers here and we like to help, but we expect some basic knowledge from those who ask questions as well

so please, grab your friend and ask him to help you with the first basic steps
