missed photo opportunities

I had something similar happen to me when I was shooting in a rural area, and ran out of space on my compact flash cards. I had gotten up early one weekend morning to get a few shots in some old abandoned houses from the early 1900's and about 2 hours into shooting, I ran out of space. I decided I would manually go through and put a lock on all the shots I thought where worthy of keeping. Than I go to delete all but locked, and must have done something wrong because everything was gone
