image has notes - addon?

I found the "Short Image Notes" - addon. I would like have an addon that gives out an "1", if the image has notes, and an "0", if not.

Can anyone modify this addon?

But please tell us what for should be this numer 0 or 1?? Do you want to place it in template or use it in other way?

As for template you can get this info by i.e. Java Script.

My notes are in the comments_template and I want to give a sign in the image_template, that this image has notes (e.g. 1 Note, 5 Comments.)

There is tag which says how many comments does current photo have.
