can;t generate all thumbs

Hi, today I change my thumbnail size, so I did a regenerate thumbnails, some got genereated to the new size, but some still stay the old size. And I got this message :

Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in /home/cbtoday/public_html/includes/functions.php on line 139

I tried turn off the ping addon, still the same. help pls.

when thumbsgenerating is active, PING Addon is not involved

you may have a lot of thumbs to be regenerated
many images must be processed and stored
in this time, the server reaches the execution-time-limitation which is configured at your host

so: too many images to be processed + a timelimit set => maximum execution time exceeded

at your server this timeout is set to 30 seconds which is a reasonable limit

so, ask your hoster to set another limit, maybe for a short time or create the thumbs locally and re-upload them

remember: this limitation is to keep the host active and alive and able to respond to request, it is set for stabilty and safety
there are reasons for this limitations
