1.5 accent problem after upgrade from 1.4.3

hi to all
due to spam problem i decided to update my 1.4.3 to 1.5 and akismet addon.
all went fine except a little problem with accents:

as an ex. in this page http://www.davidebretti.it/index.php...&showimage=193 I see Perchè instead of Perché in comments window.

I don't know if it's a bug or a codec problem... Just want to inform you... I use Mac OS X with Safari and Firefox.

thank you again for your work
d.

The reason of this problem is a little other way of storing/coding data in DB in PP 1.4.3.
The best way is to convert each problematic post by editing it.

i've tried to edit posts with accents' problem.
unfortunately I got this answer: "You have an error in your SQL syntax. Check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use (...)"

I GOT IT!!
the DB doesn't like apostrophes, deleting them all is ok.

but all the apostrophes which you enter in the edit text-area should be converted to a database-compatible string..

this is something we should have a look at (or at least check again later sometime..)

can you try to enter a new comment with apostrophes and this brings the same problem?
