Exclude your own IP adres
Hey guys,
I have downloaded and installed the addon 'Advanced Stats'. I wonder if it's possible to exclude your own IP adres form the count? Now when I visit my own website this also counts as a visit. I hope somebody can help me. Thx, Marcel van Leeuwen |

Marce,
for sure you can edit that Addon, if you understand Advanced Stats but how can you be sure about "your IP" ? 1) IPs are distributed randomly when using an ISP provider 2) more than one domain can have the same IPs if they use shared hosting I would just substract one visit per day in my mind and I am done ;=) |

the advanced stats counts everything. visits, pings, etc. even a lifeping from blo.gs or technorati or rss readers requests are counted as a visit.
on the other hand your domain server cannot visit itself. it would be a loopback which doesn't make any sense. how should this work? :-)) |

The code in book_visitor (functions.php) is probably where you should start looking.
