Thumbs up

Wellcome here!

I think this forum here is for everybody and some answers could help others as well. So we do not favor to send answers by mail to somebody

this is not a postbox, it's a friendly forum!

what is your problem?
- You miss a contact form?
- you have a contact form but don't know how to include it into your Photoblog?

please be more precise with your question.

I have prepared a contact form for you to download from this message..

so: download the attached zip, unpack it to a folder, upload the file contact.php to the /includes-folder of your Pixelpost

read the enclosed readme.txt and find out how to include it into your Pixelpost-Installation.

Tell me if it is ok for you

I would like to have a contact form in my not-yet-ready-for-primetime photoblog. And a search yielded this one by Connie. I changed the customizations made for the original poster and deployed it but it does not seem to work. I checked Connie's site and the German language side still uses this contact form (it seems to be missing from the English side). I wrote to her but I do not think she received my message (and I did not receive my copy).

I have no knowledge of php and really liked the features that Connie implemented (spam protection, a copy of the message to both sender and receiver) and really wish that someone could help in getting this thing to work for me.

This is my first post but most certainly not my last for I am really entertaining myself with pixelpost and look forward to the upcoming new version.

Btw, might the new version include a default contact form?

The new version doesn't include a default contact form. This something that should be done by either addon with templates files.

Most people don't use contact forms anymore because of the high risk they get used by spammers. (Basically, your contact form is misused by spammers to send spam.)

Then how do you get people to be able to email you from your pixelpost site? Is there a way to do this relatively safely?

I found the following site illustrates various methods of hiding your email address from spammers:

and here's a belt-and-suspenders (means double-safe :-)
example of using both an image and a javascript obfuscator:

Hope this helps.
