Maybe you should should re-upload the entire 1.6 install, and make sure that it replaces all of the old php files.

I'm sorry for the off topic but, now when I have replaced all the files, I really need an anti-spam script. So I'm trying the Akismet. But none of my api-keys work. I just get the message Unable to validate API Key. My key worked last time I used it. Do I have to register for a new blog? :l (Didn't work either...)

Using the new <TOKEN> feature in 1.6, you may not need anything else.

Once you put the <TOKEN> tag in your comment form, you need to enable the token option in the Admin site as well for it to take effect.

And please remember that the setting for comments only is for the new pictures, not for the old ones.
