suggested webhosts

I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for a good and very reliable web host. I'm using Ipower and they are having troubles with their shared database. High bandwidth users are slowing it down for all of the database users.
They tell me if I want 90 - 99% uptime then I have to pay for a special business account to get a dedicated slice of a database server. $$$ is the only problem.
So that said I'm starting to look for a new web host (stateside please) who has good resources for the database.
If this is a standard problem and everybody has these difficulties all the time let me know and I'll stay where I am..

Unbelievable features is correct. 500 GB Web space and 5000 GB Traffic for $5.95/Month. They must be gambling that most people aren't going to use anywhere near that much space/traffic. There's really no way they could make any money if each account used what they were allotted.

in that you are right ;=)
even with my busiest domain I come merely 1GB....

but these are numbers! And that is the competition!
They offer fantastico, install support, Joomla / Mambo / WordPress communities etc. and they help to move with scripts and databases, and as I pointed out, I never experienced so fast support
the performance is good, the servers are stable etc.

that's why I am so satisfied with them

Another good webhost is A Small Orange. I've been with them for a little over a year, and the support is fantastic!

I use www.dream-hosting.co.uk, they're very cheap and reliable and simple to use. I would recommend them to all people.

ICD Soft is EXCELLENT - I've got multiple domains and PP installs running without any problems. And their customer support is ridiculously fast.

One of those products I love to recommend...they just blow everyone else I've tried out of the water!

hosting / hebergement in France

Hello,
my site is host by web4all.fr, this is a non commercial hosting (associatif). It 's 54 euros per year for 5Go. No limit for DB size, 10 SQL DB with 2 user.
All requirement for pixelpost are ok.
The only thing I missed was to upload pixelpost zip in htdoc directory.
They use webFTP, no install require.

Bonjour,
