Photoblog for computer artwork?

Hi,

Anyone here using pixelpost/photoblog for artworks made in photoshop/illustrator and so on?

Not only for camera photos..

I have a blog where I put some of my work.
Click the link "pictures" under the Categories on the right menu to see some of my work.

Now I'm thinking to put the artworks I have on the blog on my photoblog page.
So when a user logs in to my photoblog they only see the pictures and not a lot of text and other junk

What do you guys think of my idea?

Any comments?

Regards,
manne

There's at least one other person using PP for digital art: http://silverstardust.net/

As long as your art is saved as a jpeg then PixelPost doesn't care whether it was captured with a camera or created on your computer.

I think this is a great idea. If your goal is to feature your artwork, then words are distractions. I really like the simplicity of PP's one image at a time format, and have grown to expect that from any art/photo site I visit regularly.

pixelpost vs banana vs blogger

I'm running a PP Photo Site for my daily uploads and normal website for my portfolio that doesn't change much including some galleries created with Bannanna and iPhoto.

I've found that pixelpost is a great quick way to upload an image a day. It also lends itself to easy viewing of one image. jAlbum style galleries like Banana tend to be a little slicker for the user to browse through all the images at once without loading a new page, but also doesn't lend itself to frequent uploading.

I definitely agree that the google blog-look really clutters things up for images.

Yup, silverstardust.net is my site, I decided to go with PixelPost because it's really simple to work with and edit and stuff Much simpler than Wordpress and as I want to just concentrate on showing off my art and nothing else, it's perfect.

I actually found it originally because of http://www.lilyfox.net/ so there's at least a few of us that use it for something other than photography.

I have put some vector works and such on my photoblog. These days I mainly put them on deviantArt, but I think they would go well on a PP run blog too.

If you want to, go for it!
