Delicious mess
I love the delicious template, unfortunately I can't get it to display properly. I'm using version 1.1, and have upgraded to PP 1.6. I've viewed it with Safari and IE they have similar problems. I can view other sites that use the delicious template and they are fine. My other templates work fine. The only change I made to the template is the copyright line. I've searched the forum for similar problems. Can anyone help?
Thanks! www.picturesovertime.com |

Your css files are not loading in Firefox at all. When I try to use the Web developer toolbar to view the css files, I am presented with a "403-Forbidden" error (Access to this resource on the server is denied!), which probably explains why they won't load. I get the same with IE6 and Opera - the css files are not loading at all.
Do you have an .htaccess file in the directory where pixelpost is located that might contain rules that would be causing this?

Changed Folder name?
Did you change the name of the template folder? Your css link reference is coded to look for them in "delicious_v1_1". If you changed the folder name to something new, you must change that line as well. For that matter, you would have to change every occurrence of "delicious_v1_1" in the html to the new folder name that you created.

Delicious helpful replies
Thanks so much for your help!
EcoSee -- I did not change he name of the folder. dhdesign -- Love your photos! I cannot find an .htaccess file, but perhaps I'm not looking in the right place. Sounds like this could be a problem with my hosting service, eleven2. I will send them an email. Thanks again! |

Resolved!
My hosting service, eleven2, fixed the problem, and showed me how fix it myself (I am a nooobie!). The file permissions on the delicious template files (HTML, CSS, and JS docs) all need to be set to 755 or 0755 AFTER they are uploaded. I can do this on the control panel for my site, under file manager. Even if you edit a page and upload it again, you have to fix the permissions again.

Most FTP programs give you the option of editing the file permissions right from the FTP interface. Check to see if yours does, as this will save you from having to login to your admin panel after each upload.

Permissions help
Thank you for your help! I'm using Cyberduck, and changed the permissions under preferences/transfers. All is well.
