Hey, very well done Jay! As i said in the email, i searched for such a template a long time. Thank you for sharing it with us! I customized it a little bit and made the xhtml valid (transitional).
Are there any plans to make the template div-based? Keep on working, and if you need some helping hands, don't hesitate to contact me. regards, bernhard p.s.: here is my version http://www.picnic.at |

Overlay Arrows Pointing Wrong Way
Hello,
First things first I love this template and minus a simple navigational challenge I've not had a bit of difficulty with it. I was wondering if you could help me with some testing. I've only uploaded a few pictures for test, but when I am on my most current pic and I want to navigate to the next the arrow shows up as if I were going forward instead of backward. Any advice on how to change that around so it works as if you were navigating backwards through existing photos? Thanks, Nick |

I really love this template!
The only thing I'm dealing with, is the number of thumbs to display. I wanted to fill the whole width of the image with thumbs, so I set the amount of thumbs to 19. But, as you can see here, it displays (off course) two rows of thumbs when viewing portrait pictures. Is there a way to tell PP to show a different amount of thumbs for different picture-sizes? Or should I just stop shooting in portrait mode?

well, you could write an addonfor PP to display a different number of thumbs for eacht picture width. but I don't think this is good usability. did you think about having all the same width? e.g. portraits in 600x900px, and landscapes in 600x400px

Yeah, I thought about that, but the images are to big then @ 1024x768. I don't want my visitors to scroll down for 1 minute if they want to see the whole image...
by the way: does the hover-effect (on thumbnails) work in IE7? I can only test it in IE6 here, and that doesn't work... Last edited by Tiestoo; 01-31-2008 at 11:55 AM. Reason: hover in IE |

totally love your templates shutterhead! keep 'em coming
![]() Is it possible to have a way to browse categories in the archives? For your testing mac dock ver, is it possible to have an option whereby the pic the mouse hovers on to be "highlighted" and the rest darkened instead? |

Hey Guys, I'm having a little trouble with the modification of this template. I created a fade-in category list as the comments on the image-template. but if it get's invisible again, it won't fade out smooth, but jumps over the last image row...can be seen here: www.picnic.at/index.php?x=browse click on categories & tags once, the tags an categories fade in. click on it for the second time, it fades out, but jumps, as i said, over the last row of images. can anybody help me in this case?

Hi Jay,
First of all, congratulations for your job on PP templates. I have noticed a small bug on simplicious 0.1b with IE7 (OK with Firefox): on the "fresh" but also on the "archive" view, a tiny additional row is added under the current picture (for fresh) and under the archives thumbnails table (for archives). Would be sort-of nice if this tiny row was also above the table, but it is only below, so just looks like a genuine bug :P Cheers, Wax. Edit: added screenshot to ease investigation (click to enlarge)
