im using pixel post 1.6 for about 7 months now.
about 4 months ago i started getting spam from the same photo. it was alot of spam about 50 per day. i went to my database and changed the ID and also changed the comment id's to match the photo ID.

this worked well until about last week.

now the same photo, although different ID is getting spam. so yet again i went to the database, switched to a new ID but this is not helping. the WEIRD thing that is happening is this: although the comments dont show up under the photo i am stilll getting comment notification of the old photo ID. how is this possible? and what can i do to stop this altogether?

did someone steal my code and is spamming me?

disable commenting for that picture.

Switching to another ID won't work. You can goto the images list, then edit the image and disable commenting. That will stop comments on that picture.

I've been getting an insane amount of spam for a while now and it just keeps increasing. I'm using Defensio and for a while I was using a capcha addon but that never seemed to work. Any ideas? I'd hate to have to disable older comments as a lot of regulars look through my archives and comment on them.

One very simple solution - make your comment form nonstandard. It needs additional tweaks in code (i.e. addon) but it should be worth.

There was mine old solution for it but I dont know if it still works. There was something like non-spam template or something called like this.
