Sorry, i didn't read entirely your question. My site is on godaddy and it's written that the version of PHP is : PHP 4.x

Ok that would be the problem then. The dfGallery backend code only runs on PHP5. Sorry

To tell you the truth, GoDaddy really should upgrade to PHP 5, as a lot of new scripts only run on that version. Especially since the first version of PHP 5 came out way back in 2004.

Perhaps you can send them a request... and if enough GoDaddy customers request it, they'll have to upgrade.

Exactly. Here's another reason why, from the PHP.net site:

Quote:
The PHP development team hereby announces that support for PHP 4 will continue until the end of this year only. After 2007-12-31 there will be no more releases of PHP 4.4. We will continue to make critical security fixes available on a case-by-case basis until 2008-08-08. Please use the rest of this year to make your application suitable to run on PHP 5.
PHP4 is completely DEAD after 2008-08-08. It's pretty shocking that providers are still running this.

GoDaddy offers php5. You need to make the switch.

Thank you all. I just did the switch to PHP5. They will do it in the next 24 hours.

I'm found an error on http://www.ilger.nl/photo/addons/_df...ss.php&max=100

it seems that the mediarss is not creating an xml rss file?

Anyone a suggestion on what might be the problem?

I'v managed to solve some previous problems following the tips in this thread but now i'm pretty stuck

You don't have CURL support in your PHP.

Mental note: I really need to write more detailed instructions / requirements.

Darn...suppose there is no other way to change this other than having curl support on the server.

There is. Uploaded a new version that works with both curl and DOMDocument->load() (which doesn't run on my host).

http://www.pixelpost.org/extend/addons/dfgallery/

Let me know if this helps.
