If you are trying to install a template, you need to upload that folder into the templates folder, not the root PP folder.

The Fluid theme by Ecosee contains various addons as well. I have experienced a similar problem with another user. This was related due to the fact the addons were uploaded as binary files instead of ASCII files.

Make sure you upload them as ASCII.

Thanks Gentlemen..

I'm afraid I don't know the difference between binary and ASCII files - I'm a real newbie - and I'm not sure which 3 out of the four folders that are included in the "fluid" zip to upload. The instructions are -

Instructions For Installation:

1. Drop all three folders into your root pixelpost folder on your server using an FTP client.

2. Sign into your pixelpost admin screen.

3. Activate the "Fluid" Template.

4. Go to the "Addons" tab and turn on ALL new addons.

4. Update your 'Spotlight' page from the pixelpost admin addon screen.

As I say, there are actually 4 folders, "addons" "includes" "language" and "templates".

I tried several different permutations, any 3 from 4, and I did get the site to show, but not only did the "fluid" addons not appear, but none of the default addons appeared either.

Thanks again

Micky G.

Micky -

I've just downloaded the template to check out the folder structure, and here's what is in the zip download package:

Code:
FluidTemplate/
--addons/
-----about_editor.php
-----admin_GoogleMap.php
-----admin_paypal_cart.php
-----fluid_vertical.php
-----geos_show_category.php
-----paged_archive.php
--includes/
-----googlemap/
--language/
-----lang-english.php
--templates/
-----fluid/
----------images/
----------scripts/
----------styles/
----------about_template.html
----------browse_template.html
----------googlemap_template.html
----------image_template.html
GoogleMapManual.html
Instructions.html
You need to upload this as follows:

1. Addons folder: you need to upload all 6 files inside that folder into the existing addons folder on your server. There is already a paged_archive.php file in the addons folder - overwrite it with the new version from this template.

2. Includes folder: you need to upload the googlemap folder into the existing includes folder on your server.

3. Language folder: you need to upload lang-english.php into the existing language folder on your server, overwriting the file that is already there.

4. Templates folder: you need to upload the fluid folder into the existing templates folder on your server.

Now log into your PP admin panel, go to Options>>General, and change your template to fluid.

Then go to your Addons page and activate the addons that you just uploaded.

Now check your photoblog and see if everything is showing properly. If not, come back here, provide a link to your photoblog, and tell us what issues you still need to resolve.

Hope this helps!

Hi dhdesign...

...thank you for your all your work on this.

I followed your instructions to the letter, twice. But there is still no "addons" when I go to the addon page. (No addons period, not even the PP included addons)

http://www.photopheast.com/

As you can see I get the site, but cannot get the addons!

Is this link sufficient or do you need the admin link too?

Thanks once more for your help

Micky -

Could you see your addons page (with the addons listed) right after you installed Pixelpost (default install)?

dhdesign...

...yes I could see and open and close any addon. I have other templates that work perfectly. This is the only template that has been a problem.

Further to that most recent post..

I uploaded "fluid" to another domain in which I also have several other templates that work perfectly, and the same thing happened there - no addons, nothing!

Thanks
