Add Image vs Text for RSS Link

Hi! I am using the Horizon template for my photoblog and wanted to insert small icons for the RSS and ATOM links on the main page instead of the text that is there now. I have tried using an IMG tag in the Functions Feeds file but it ends up giving me a blank page!

Any ideas here? Thanks in advance.
