Images don't appear in blog

I've uploaded images and they are in the proper image and thumbnail directory, but don' t appear in the blog. When looking at the image detail in the admin panel, the thumbnail image is empty and it shows it without dimension or size. The description and title appear. I can view both the thumbnail and the image on my host.
