Autocreate albums and categories from directory hierarchy

Hi,

I love Pixelpost... and would like to install it for a friend, who needs a real easy solution. I wonder if someone has actually thought of the following addon:

Copy all pictures to a directory (using ftp) with the following structure

People
pic1
pic 2
pic 3

Nature
pic1
pic 2
pic 3
...

Moon
pic1
pic 2
pic 3
pic1
pic 2
pic 3

Then a pixelpost addon should run that does the following:

Purge the whole gallery including
Create categories from the subdirs, i.e, People, Nature and Moon
Add the pics from the subdirs and tag them accordingly

Alternatively (even better)
Only add and remove the pictures / categories that changed

Can anyone help?

for a blog i don´t see a real necessity for a feauture that support mass upload.
a solution near your wishes maybee is copy folder and maybee somone extend it to import categories and tags too.
