Ha! It worked! Try un-zipping the file first, and then uploading to the server.

Does anyone know of a way to change all the prices at the same time? I have a lot of photos, and updating every single one of them in part would take an eternity, not to mention trying to change the prices of the photos in the future...
Any suggestions? Thanks, Titus The Obvious http://photos.titusbartos.com |

Bitus82,
Am I suppose to see the Paypal addon on the Admin-Addon page? 'cos I don't see it. I extract the files to the addon folder already. Thanks. |

Unzip and Upload
People are having troubles when they extract the zip on the server for some reason. If you unzip it on your desktop and then simply upload the single file, it doesn't seem to cause the problem. If it does, you should turn off all of your addons, and then turn them back on one by one to see which one causes a conflict. Then please report here.

EcoSee,
I did extract the zip file on my computer first, then I upload the file admin_paypal_cart.php into the addon folder using FTP. I tried many times. I even started from scratch, created a new database, installed a clean pixelpost with all addons turned off. I still got the same problem. The admin/addon page is blank when the paypal php file is in the addon folder. Once I delete it, the addon page returns to normal. Do you have any idea how I can fix this? Thank you. Quote:

Free Year of Hosting... Solution...
toner75~
I cannot say why you are having this issue. I have installed and used this script over a hundred times without a hitch. The only thing I can think of at this point is that your host is using a server that cannot support it. Here at EcoSee.com we use Linux Redhat Enterprise with our hosting service. If you are unable to figure it out but are set on using it, the only thing I can think to offer is to have you move your domain over to us and we will host your pixelpost site. I will offer you one free year of hosting upon signup for an account. (You will have to pay for year two at signup... so you are getting two years for the price of one.) We will install pixelpost for you along with the paypal addon. Let me know if you are interested. This offer is good for anyone who is having trouble loading this addon. Just email me at: admin (at) ecosee (dot) com |

EcoSee,
That's very nice of you to offer this. I will definitely think about it. Thanks. |

This is how it worked for me:
renamed the script as .txt file and uploaded it to my server. pointed my browser to where the txt file was to show the content of the file. copy the content, paste it to a clean file and give the original script name. Number two, when you edit the prices, do not forget to APPLY the changes .... |

Digitalfrog, I tried your suggested fix but it did not do anything for me. I'm exactly where I left it off - once the add-on is uploaded every other add-on disappears.
I also tried what EcoSee, the developer suggested - to turn OFF all other existing add-ons while keeping the PayPal ON and then turn them ON one by one trying to figure out which one conflicts with the newly installed script. It seems to be another type of problem NOT a conflict with an existing add-on since even when ALL others are turned OFF, after uploading the PayPal the add-on page goes blank - can only see the header, nothing else.
