The world in 35mm

Hey there,

I have tried to install the template "the world in 35mm" and it worked everything perfekt. There is just one little problem, I am not able to solve. When I installed the Pixelpost for the first time with this template, I was able to use the menu button "Browse" -->there was a content --> all my pictures to look through.
Now I installed the whole system again in my root directory. Everything works fine as well, but wenn I click in the menu on "Browse", there always appears the traditional site without any content... so there are no pictures at all.
I have already tried to install the whole system for several times, but I do not get it done, that it run like it does at the first time...

When I use the "default" template which comes with pixelpost 1.7.1, there is a content in the menu "Browse".

Anybody an idea?

Thank you so much!

BR

A link to your site would be helpful so we can see the problem.

I believe I have the same problem. My site is: www.henrikb.se.

My thumbnails does not seem to be generated properly. When I download the generated thumbnails from my site and try to view them.. they are not possible to show.

Also the links to the pictures in the "browse" page does not work.

Try adding the <base href="" /> tag. http://www.w3schools.com/TAGS/tag_base.asp

Hmm... it worked out for Firefox and Safari.. but not for Explorer I found out now..

Maybe I implemented it in a wrong way?

I simply added:

<base href="http://www.henrikb.se/" />

to my templates browse_template.html.

Any suggestions?

Never mind..

..I solved it.

(put the tag in the header_tamplate.html within the <head> tag.)

Thanks again Jay!

Yes, I'm having the same problem. Like samsam, I've tried putting the code in both places, but it doesn't seem to be having any effect. Thoughts?

my site: www.indivisibleclassroom.com/pixelpost_v1

Many thanks!

htaccess

samsam and mahatmapoppins:

Have you implemented the rewrite-rules correctly? To do this you need to show hidden files in your ftp-program. Then you will find the .htaccess file in the root. Download it and edit it as in the description. Then you need to upload it using ASCII mode (NOT binar) into your pixelpost folder.

there is a good guid here: http://www.javascriptkit.com/howto/htaccess.shtml

Good luck!
