how sort images

hello folks,

i now have my pp site up and running, im quite pleased with pp.
however, i really would like to sort the images after uploading in a order of my choosing.
i dont wont them necessarily in the order i upload them, for instance i have a favorite image id like to keep as #1 picture. i keep it as #1 by changing the upload time, if i upload new photos, but thats not an elegant solution.
i would like to sort the archive too.
how is it possible?
edit: my #1 picture doesnt show up in the archive, neither in the both categories i put it in, nor in the all picture tab. how do i fix this?

is there a solution to sort the images? i also would like to change the # from for example #50 to # 14.

I agree.. I would like to be able to sort them also.
being a photoblog it makes sense to display them by date.. but when browsing categories or tags... would be nice to control the order.
