So far I've been able to add a Facebook comment box to my Pixelpost site but I don't want to really replace the comments handled by Pixelpost with a comment form that Facebook provides. I've seen some sites with Facebook integration that probably require altering the scripts, but I was wondering if there's a simple way to integrate Facebook Connect to a Pixelpost-powered site?
I was able to also get the Facebook Connect button to work and replace the comment form section's Name area with the Facebook info (like, "Welcome, Person") but because name wasn't filled out in the comment form, it wouldn't post. I'm sure I'm not the only one who'd love to make it easier for Facebook's users to be able to leave their comments on their site. Personally I find it to be a great idea. I'd love to work on it but I have no clue how to mess with PHP. Implementing the code Facebook gives you in various examples online is actually a piece of cake, I just want to make it work with the PP commenting system. If not, I might just have to go with removing the PP-based commenting platform as it's so much easier to 1.) be notified on my Facebook account that a comment has been made 2.) get exposure to friends and family through FB. Granted, it's easier to manage the PP comments through it's interface, but the pros of the FB outweigh the cons (for me, at least). But if anyone out there can help me out or has done it, please post here! (btw, if some of this makes no sense or seems redundant, I've been up for over 24 hours, so I'm not all there)
