Comments Pop Out

Guys,

I am making some progress with my site: http://www.thedailycapture.com/
but want to modify the comments pop out, so that it appears within the current window, preferably overlaying the image or as a column on the right of the page, similar to what happens on the Pixelfy template.

I have been looking around the code but can't see how to change this.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
