Still no luck

Again, thanks, Henrik. I thought I'd done everything correctly--at least, I can't find where I'm messing it up--but I'm clearly missing something. I've edited the .htaccess file by adding the path (/pixelpost_v1) to Rewritebase... is there something else I ought to be doing to .htaccess?

Maybe I have put the <base href="http://www.indivisibleclassroom.com/pixelpost_v1/" /> in the wrong place in the file "browse_template.html"?

Could it have something to do with the fact that my .htaccess file specifies "/pixelpost_v1/" but the base href refers to "www.indivisibleclassroom.com/pixelpost_v1"?

Thank you for bearing with my extreme not-knowing-anything-ness.

best,
Jenny

Have you implemented the rewrite-rules correctly? To do this you need to show hidden files in your ftp-program. Then you will find the .htaccess file in the root. Download it and edit it as in the description. Then you need to upload it using ASCII mode (NOT binar) into your pixelpost folder.

there is a good guid here: http://www.javascriptkit.com/howto/htaccess.shtml

Good luck!

Try copy .htaccess

Ok.. try to put a copy of the .htaccess-file in /pixelpost_v1/. When my site wasn't in the root I had to do so (even if the guide I suggested tells you its valid in all the subfolders if no other closer .htacces-file is found).

That could do the trick! Hope so!

(my not-knowing-anything-ness is actually very great as well )

My .htaccess file is already in the /pixelpost_v1/ folder, as well as the /theworldin35mm/ folder. Hmmmm...

Tell me, where did you put the base href text in the browse_template.html file?

Thanks again.

Aha.. that could be the problem. Put it within the header tag in the header.html!

Hope that solves it for you.

Maybe this message looks like a "deja-vu" but here it goes :

I have the same problem.
The "Browse" menu button doesn't work - I don't see any thumbnails when i press it

I was happy when i found this post, seeing that other people had the same problem, but may happiness didn't last long.
I have read this post several times and did everything step by step (and rewing afterwards) but still can't manage to make it work.

I did the following :

- installed this gorgeous theme as instructed on the pixelpost/extend site
- modified my *.htaccess* file with rewrite rules (ASCII)
- put the base href within the head tag
- i tried with and without the "OPTIONAL XHTML HACK" (still no luck)

I think I'm omitting something but can't figure out what
does anybody have an idea ?

My site is www.savoo.ro

Many thanks!
