Pixelpost install assistant does not come up

Hello all,

I have followed the instructions given in the installation documents and proceeded accordingly.

I cannot set the chmod preferences for the images and thumbnails folders when I upload the pixelpost files to my server. I just don't see them when I check the properties.

Though I can see my all my uploaded files under ftp://mydomain.com/myfolder, I cannot open up my website as http://mydomain.com/myfolder/admin/install.php and the browser says that the page cannot be found. And hence I cannot begin installation.

When I try to open http://mydomain.com, it gives the following error msg: Connect DB Error Cause#1.

I am using Cuteftp for uploading my files.

Please help me fix this problem. I have searched the forums but could not find a solution.
