another login problem

It's only been a couple of weeks since my last login. login is not working, not sending me an email and i have updated my password in my database. any and all help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. and Happy Easter.

so more screwing around i noticed that MD5 was not part of the code and theres some other code in there as opposed to the FAQ:

UPDATE `pixelpost_config` SET `password` = MD5('password'), `htmlemailnote` = '', `thumb_sharpening` = '3' WHERE `id` = 1 LIMIT 1;

seems to be working now! any idea why it would change?
