view counter question

I am using the new Honey template by deenee, but I do not know how to get the view counter to work in the template. I have left a question with deenee, but there is no response. I do not know how to apply tags so that might be a problem. I have downloaded and installed roll-n-stats add on, but that does not seem to affect the view counter on the front of the template. Maybe I am just too much of a newbie with this stuff – but perhaps someone can help.
