This is true, we limit all accounts to 300 messages per hour.
Out of the almost 66,000 websites, we have never ran into a issue besides with connie with this limit. We have this very simple limit in place to ensure that someone cannot have a script exploited and spammed to the world about vigagra or such. I hate spam, we all hate spam, I think, so we are just doing our little bit here to prevent this.

a newsletter with approved subscribers, sent out once a month to 800 subscribers is not spam at all.

Please do not allege to me that I sent out spam just because my clients have a mailing list with 800 jazz fans who subscribed to a monthly concert calendar

A newsletter which was sent out every month for nearly a year from your hosting plan and suddenly you limit the numbers of mails to be sent out whithout any information to your clients... that is not ok and that is not very friendly

I just told this limit here because it is nowhere published, documentated at eleven2.com and even existing users don't know about this limitation
you propagate to install newsletter scripts at your website by fantastico, for what? for 20 subscribers? Shoot with canons on flies???

I just wanted to inform anybody who wants to use this offer but also uses a newsletter (because this info is not given by you) that they will have problems because of this sudden limit

connie he made no such allegation. He responded to your post by confirming its accuracy and giving a reason for having such a policy. At no point did he mention what you were sending.

My photoblog is hosted on Eleven2, and I don't have a problem - it loads pretty fast.

The link is in my signature - you can check for yourself and see how it loads for you.

It may not be Eleven2's servers that are slow, but possibly a slowdown somewhere in the network connections between their data center and where you are located.

Photoschau.de loads quick for me, just as quick as my site does. I can't see any difference between the two.

Are you on some type of broadband connection where you are located?

hi i'm in germany. did u see any blank screen between two entries of photoschau.de? (if u test it again, plz try view some photos u have just not seen, or clear ur browser cache.) photoschau.de ist hostet on a german hosting service. I live in student's dom. our connection is 100mb/s, it's rather fast, i think the bottle neck is the transcontinental trasfer.

I visit Frank's site quite often, and have never had a problem with it loading slow.

I believe you are correct about the problem being in the transfer of data between the US and Germany. I don't believe it's Eleven2's servers that are slow, just a glitch somewhere between them and where you are.

I did hit the link for your photoblog, and it loaded a bit slow for me. Who are you hosted with?

People have to be aware that when going from lets say Germany and our servers you may pass through 30 or more routers to get to us, and if one of those is acting up, then it is a issue. However the Atlantic Ocean crossing fiber usually is not a bottleneck, so I would think to call your ISP and talk to them, no matter if you have 1mbps a second or 100mbps connection like you say, it is probably still them.
