Light painting
My very first attempt on light painting...
To view the big picture, click the thumb (which will lead you to my pixepost photoblog)... Comments would be great, and constructive criticism is the by far best... To explain what i did... Went into an entirely dark room, with no lights at all, and put the shutter speed to 15 sec.. Then I started the exposure and turned on my penlight and painted the light where i wanted it... Sort of random light, but at least I have a clue for the next time... Then I'll probably find a motive and have a slightly more recital light source so I'm able to paint it on a certain area... Have a good night ![]() Regards |

I like the idea you have here, but I would crop out whatever is at the top of your picture, looks like it might be a frame of some sort, other than that I think you are on the right track.
This is from my first 'painting with light' attempt, taken with b/w 100iso film for around a minute then sepia toned afterwards and added border in photoshop. http://www.nathanelson.com/blog/index.php?showimage=54 Painting with light is a fairly easy process but one that needs a lot of practice, this image turned out a lot harsher than I had wanted it to, but I guess thats what experimenting is all about

Well, I am 18 years old school student. I have to do a self portrait of me for my grade 12 art class and I am adding a guitar in the picture. I'm trying to mix so many colors together to get the color of an acoustic guitar, but it’s not working. I was wondering if you know what colors I need to mix together. I will be so happy. Is there any one who has much experience with color combination? If so, please let me know.
