Error: Upload went without error

Hi!
I am getting this message whenever I try to upload an image via the admin area. The image doesn't get uploaded and even the description doesn't show up.

I checked the chmod on the images and thumbnails folders and they are both set to 777. The Mysql-Settings are correct, too....

What am I doing wrong??? :?:

Thanks a lot for your help

Error: Upload went without error
That's an awesome error, I laugh every time I stumble upon it. Sorry for that non-informed error.

The first Error is in the context of moving the file from the tmp/ directory to your images-folder. If this fails, it says error and then it checks what the upload error is, because it is an upload error. It is a wrong assumption.

Anyway. The upload went ok. But it can't save the file in your images-folder.
Check your path, it has to be an absolute server path.

Let me know how it goes

Thanks for your help, but it didn't work...

I changed the Images path to the absolute server-path since it was wrong before... (my provider has a strange structure on his servers ) but still it doesn't work.

Btw. what command does pixelpost use to copy the files? I had a quite similar problem with a Mambo installation I once used where it couldn't copy any files from one folder to another and my provider told me that the php-command Mambo used for copying the files had been disabled by them for safety reasons.....

hope we don't have the same problem here....

It's the servers /tmp that's used by php.

The command to copy from the tmp folder is move_uploaded_file. I have no idea if there are other ways to upload files than this workflow, ie up to tmp then move to destination.

Totally off-topic, but.
Honestly, you should consider to change host. There are so many brilliant (and cheap) hosts, there are no reasons for staying with anything not satisfactory. And have you trouble with uploading files many scripts will fail. And if they've turned off that function - what else has they turned off that you dont know about yet?

just ranting a bit

Anyway, you will not be able to use pixelpost if you can't upload the files of course, sorry
