best digital photography book?

hey all,

i'm looking into eventually buying a canon digital rebel xt but beforehand i would really like to learn about taking manual pictures and learning about all the settings and lenses and so on. also it would be great if the book would include some good info about post-processing in photoshop!

http://morguefile.com/archive/classroom.php and the manual are all i learned from when i got my first camera, which was a 300d a little over a year ago.

Also check out http://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/ which is a great resource for canon users. A ton of helpful people on there.
