grablink and server settings

I downloaded grablink 1.5 to play with, but i do not get the list of favorites from photoblogs.org.

If i hit the addon directly, i get a warning:

Warning: file(): URL file-access is disabled in the server configuration in /home/.navajo/gpinto/fotogram.com/pixelpost/addons/grablink.php on line 13
---

Is this something I need to work with my hosting provider (dreamhost) in order to enable "URL file-access"?

I used cURL instead and it is now working...

i am not using this addon anymore... instead i wrote my own to consume the feed from photoblogs.org beta site:
