I've had a good search around, but can see no discussion about this...
Is it possible to configure things so that Flickr's "post to blog" button can submit directly to Pixelpost? (i.e. does Pixelpost implement any of the APIs they mention at http://www.flickr.com/help/blogging/#55 ? |

why someone should do that? Pixelpost alread do this. Pixelpost is a replacement for Flickr not it co-partner!
I don't underestand this. if you wanna flickr what is PP for, and if you have pp why do you need flickr?

(I kind of agree - I should point out that I'm merely asking on the user's behalf!)
I think they want to be able to highlight some of their photographs, in a nice looking Pixelpost-based system, and they'd like the option to click on Flickr's "add to blog" button to do that. (But it probably is technology for the sake of it.) Your reply tells me all I needed to know, anyway! |

yeah, but for the price of a damain and hosting 99.99% of us can get WAY more than we can handle...its the reason why we asked eleven2 to create a discount deal for pixelpost users, cause you get a massive account for like $5/mo

I can see the point of this. I have way more pictures on Flickr, and would indeed like to put individual images from flickr onto my PP site. They certainly are not in competition for me, except that they comete for my time, so a feature like this would be good for me.

I'm thinking of going to flickr as an online storage medium for my photos. A nice safe place to store them (i.e. backups). I don't think PP is anything like flickr. PP lets you highlight specific ideas and images, while flickr is basically a gallery.
I'd just dump my many gigs of photos to flickr and be done with it. People can look them over, but PP would still exist as the artsy place to see my images. |

yeah, I agree. It's good to have flickr as a storage, and post the picture by linking it from flickr. Is that possible at all?

I would like to be able to post to PP from Flickr as well, but for only one thing...
Occassionally, while away from home, I will use my cell phone to email a photo to Flickr. If I use one of my two specialized addresses for this, it will automatically post to a blog, in my case, my personal WordPress blog. I then later, when I get home, download my image and save on my hard drive and then post in my photoblog which is PixelPost. It's just something I've decided to do occassionaly (about once a week) with the better photos on my cell phone or something I snapped when I didn't have my regular camera, etc. (See my cell phone is special because my two year old will smile and laugh at it, but not my regular camera. Strange little kid!) EDIT: I have tried this as well. There's a thing called Atom Endpoint that Flickr wants? Unfortunately, I don't know anything about Atom and I was not able to get it to work...
