Using two photographs to get one
http://www.aidemedia.co.uk/photoblog...p?showimage=18
What do you think, I'm unsure weather using two photo's is Ok, but it was the only way I could get good foreground detail aswell as the great colour of the sky.

I don't think it looks odd at all - I really like it!
Great idea and picture!

i don't see a significant difference.. i think to the untrained eye or even to the trained eye, the picture might go unnoticed. you did a great job.. well done!

I don't think it looks "wrong" at all. Just interesting. In fact you could have even lightened the shadows in the foreground section a bit more.
Were you actually on a tripod, or did you cut the sky and paste it in by hand?

I just took two photo's handheld, and put them on two layers in photoshop. I put the sky layer on top. Obviously the two pictures didn't exactly match up so a bit of cropping, and some clone stamping around the edges of the buildings, played with the levels a bit on each layer to try and bring them closer together in colouring. Then "File/Save As" and finish...
Thanks for the comments by the way, I'm glad people liked it.
