A lot of entries from my site would go to Bulgaria, to this "f... " referer-spammer who still hits my site even if there is 404

can you imagine what happened to me?
At www.bildgier.de I had some testinstallations and demo-installations, even two old Pp 1.3

suddenly the domain was unreachable, by FTP, confixx or HTTP
the provider did not answer any mails., faxes, calls
after 5 days and more than 10 mails, he answered that my side produced too much traffic and so they took it from the server...
there must be a worm or a virus in my programs...

funny, because I had just asked to get an editable .htaccess to block the referer-spammers
that he did not understand at all

but he told me that I should fix my programs! How? When FTP is blocked????
So I told him to fuck up and moved the domain to another hoster..

he was so generous to "re-open" bildgier.de for half an hour for me so I could make a backup of databases...

so crazy.. stupid I could not believe it..

so tomorrow I have to move all the content to another hoster
cross the thumbs for me that this one will be better!

And I promise, I won't re-install PP 1.3...

yes, I moved to a new provider, until the domain is propragated to the new DNS, it is here: http://web81.ck-hostserver1.de/

you recommend eleven2, ok, but american hosters mostly have problems with german Domains, even if I have a german registrar it will cause problems, because mostly the german registration institution is very picky with DNS-configuration and american providers mostyl are not (2 DNS in independent DSN zones...)

so I stick with my german hosters in the moment...

but at the new place I even run alpha 1.5.3!

only the internal output of special characters is wrong in the moment, the database has wrong codepage...
I will never get rid of that UTF-problem ;=)

well, http://24-7media.de is hosted with e2, and it pulls more traffice than ever pixelpost user combined...hehe

but you would have to ask in the Hosting Help section on the forum and let rodney reply...
