Blogs for users
Hi there,
I'm new in PixelPost. I want to create a website and give users a photoblog powered by PixelPost. I mean something like multiple blogs, which users can register and start their own photoblog in a subdomain or a directory. For example: http://user.yoursite.com or http://yoursite.com/user Is there any addon for PixelPost to do it? If not, is it legal to start a free service like this? |

please search the forum and you will find out, that PP is meant as a single-user Photoblog
but it is absolutely no problem to install as many PPs as you want, giving each installation a different directory and a different table-prefix (defined in pixelpost.php in the include-folder) hope that helps |

it's absolutely legal if you're providing it for free... and even then i suppose it woul be legal to charge for providing hosting but certainly not legal to charge for use of pp.
as for an addon - there is no 'addon' that can or ever will do this sort of thing. if you want to do this then i'd suggest simply installing pp under different subdomains with different table prefixes or just in entirely different databases.

I got it.
But I want a automatic user registration system, not install it in different subdomains by request. OK, I got that I myself should work on it! eh? |

Quote:
UserRegistration is just another pair of shoes... you must have different directories / folders at least, as PixelPost is always using the "index.php" even if you use different database-table-prefixes whether you use these subdirectories as subdomains is up to you Quote:
if you keep the directory structure, you can do it, but you must do it yourself, that's right |

Thank you indeed, but I'm thinking for an invitation-based photo community, which you can invite your friends to create photoblogs. (something like Gmail)
Special thanks to PixelPost team because of their good thinking about their system, which I can promote and develope it as a photo community system in a legal way. |
