well...
for starters, Im running 1280x1024 which isnt a remotely low resoltion and I had to scroll to see the moth fully. You need to think about the other viewers who are hitting your blog, they might not complain, but I bet if you made life easier for them they would think a lot more positive.

i like this shot. the composition is good and the depth of field is nice. the one thing that i think would be an improvement to this shot is if the sky were more blue. that would look really nice with the yellow-orange flowers. Otherwise, it's a very cool shot. Good job!

Thank you.
I did try to tweak with the curves and saturation to get a bluer sky, but it didn't end up looking real. I think my post processing leaves some to be desired. *Shrugs*

A polarizing filter would have really made the sky pop out. That's one of those things not easy to fix in photoshop without lots of work. Otherwise, I really like the shot. Here's one I took in Arizona last weekend with a polarizing filter. I was really pleased with the color in the sky. Just popped up the contrasts in this image. http://www.mikelangelo.com/blog/index.php?showimage=216

I have just purchased a polariser but have had the chance to use it to its best ability yet. Love the insect, great depth of field, and it is a fine line to follow when post processing. I tend to just do it until I'm happy with the result, and don't worry about how processed it is. Aslong as your happy with your interpretation of what you were looking at , at the time, then who cares.
