Moving to E-2, how?

Hi,

I have a site full of pictures (non-Pixelpost driven) and my own domain name. I want to move the everything to pro hosting -- E-2 seems a good choice. Now, how do I transfer the whole thing including the domain name (domain expires in one month or so)to E-2 and PP? Any help would be most appreciated.

You'd need to download all your files (via FTP) and then re-upload them. I think.

contact e2 about transferring your domain - the process should be farely painless.

as far as getting all your current photos into a new pixelpost installation you can use the 'copy folder' addon that comes with pixelpost. this allows you to copy a large batch of jpg files from a folder online into your pixelpost database.

1) if your current host uses cpanel, e2 can directly transfer your account. If it doesnt, you can backup your files, backup your database, upload your files to the new server, upload your database (i suggest using gzip compression) and wham bam thank you ma'am...once the dns rolls over your back up and running strong...
