comment flip does not display in IE

HI there,

I just finished imlementing my comments into image_template and I use the flipping method where comments do not display initially, only when clicked on the comments link. It now works fine in Firefox, but IE does not display the commentform, only the comments. (They are in the same table bellow the post, but comments are on the left in 1 cell, form is on the right in another one.)

I am desparetly seeking help.

PP vers: 1.4.2

did you see your comment form in opera? It is really too narrow, I think!

The link to your page is wrong, it must be http://blog.gelatinpixel.com !!!

the link for autodiscovery of RSS belongs into the header, not the html!

well, we have some templates in the package which generate working HTML
there is also a CSS file for each of the templates
if you start and work over your own template, why not have a look at the other templates? you will see that there are some CSS-elements for the comment-form

try these and check out, put your comment-form into the same div as in the templates etc.

then test again

I haven't seen it in opera (I only have FF and IE installed - however I will get some more browsers for testing), but more than likely you had a look at it while I was makin' around with the whole thing. The layout ( which is ok at the moment and I am not that concerned, with css I will be able to sort out, once technically resolved), but I have no clue at all, how come IE simply doesn't see any of the form. It is literally doesn't exist. You look at the source code the browser gives, and no trace at all. I had it in a table, now it's just plain css, doesn't matter...., it drives me insane....,
but thanks for your help and any further help will be appreciated too.

Ps: I'll remove the extra rss tag - thanks to call my attention!

Thanks for the help though!

There is one more thing that I still couldn't achieve..., which is that, when you click on the "comments" link, it doesn't just displays, but also scrolls down to it. I have placed an anchor, tried all sorts of things, but it doesn't work. any idea?

ok, I did not compare all lines of code, so I also didn't see this error

but I have one question: did you try the other templates which come with PixelPost? Does the section scroll down there? If yes, compare with your template, if no it should be a behaviour of the browser, or am I wrong?

re: comment flip

Trying the other templates are not relevant as the comments in template "light" (the one similar to this structure) are not hidden nor initially or any time. This method can be found at several websites, which I compered line by line and still cannot see the reason of the behavior (having said that in about 2% of the times it scrolled down for me too in a random order ---???????)

see sites with the similar technic of commenting:

1/ where it works: http://www.hayath.com/pointandshoot

2/where it doens't scroll down: http://www.beilby.com/image.a.nation (however this second example isn't powered by PP - but the code is soo similar that is not affecting us at this time I think)

Any idea?
