Second Archive for Text

I don't want to add the Fancy Archive addon, but it shows a potential feature that I would really like to have. That is, I would like to have a second archive that shows texts only (or the texts with a thumbnail). Just a simple list of previous posts would be fine (full texts or excerpts), and I'd like it to work with my current stylesheet as much as possible.

All this could be done, I think, using Fancy Archive. But it's complicated, because Fancy Archive offers more than that.

Can anyone tell me if what I'm asking can be done easily? Already available? Coming?

By the way, I noticed that Fancy Archive doesn't parse the Markdown syntax in the texts...

fancy archive uses tags though - and you can simply just include that one tag.
