i don't htink the flower is bright enough - a stronger light source may have been useful. i like the angle of light though - it creates some nice shadows around the petals.

all in all i like it.

It looks like a flower made out of Icing (as might be on a Birthday Cake)... the slight texture on the flower is very interesting...looks like sugar crystals or something.

I think it is very nice overall, composition is good, I like the black and white... but I would like a more solid focal point of somekind. more contrast, perhaps. It's fairly consistent across the image. Nothing jumps out at me. You've got some great values in the petals of the flower though... I really like that.

dannisnokiller: Nice avatar... Brak is cool!

composition is a little iffy, the flower feels very left weighted, but too centered in the height of the framing, if the leaf brushed up against the lower left (flower lower) it might make for a nice textbook rule of thirds and be a little more eye pleasing, its a nice shot though

id add more contrast too...tone ranges seem a little flat, at least on the monitor i am on, and its a little dark so I cant really give a solid critique on its exposure and such

Thank you all
The flower is not actually a natural flower. It's made of some clothing or somthing I don't know. It's not eatable at all!

about the contrast. I kept it that way to be some how smooth. I also blured it a bit. to add some dreamy feeling... ok maybe it needs more contrast....

about the brighness. maybe our monitors are not configed the same way.
I agree about the comp. I made the best in cropping but I if I was taking it again I would eliminate the bright section at the bottom left.

contrast is a beautiful thing, the first image left you searching for something to stand out in the picture, the revamped image makes the flower very clear as the subject. good job

im diggin the one with more contrast, just crop to the bottom of that leave so it rests in the corner and it's a keeper

i like the color one too. but the square crop feels weird to me now, I dont know why...
