Comment Template

Hey guys.

I know hwo to change the comment template... thats not the question. My question is... how do I change the look of how the comment is layout out when added.

Also, when you add the comment, you get sent to a page that says "click here to go back to the page" and it opens the image.html page in the popup. How can I change this, too?

Thanks in advance,

James Costa
p.s: the program is great, btw

James, change to what? What you want to have instead?

Well, each comment is in a list... I wanted to take that out, and make it more colorful... more divs and stuff like that. Also, the other page it goes to I wanted to change to the same template as the one I've changed it to (no the light blue... the black/dark color).

Thanks for the response

you can just edit the comment_template.html inside your templates folder

For the comments... not the template, read the first post :P

Like, when someone comments, I want each one to go into a special div, so (lets say) the comment will be in one color, and the person's name and date they left the comment will be in another.

Understand? Sorry for the problems >_<

i don't have access to the code on this page but if you look in index.php you should be able to find the code for printing out a list of comments and find the relevant html within it. hope that helps.

Gah... its all in PHP... I really dont understand that, and I don't think any of that defines a template in it.

Tis okay, I'll ask a friend of mine who did it.

index.php makes comments be printed as list elements
you have all chances to define the look of list-elements by defining CSS-styles for list-elements, there are many tricks around

you will not need to edit the index.php

just test it, there are many possibilities

You guys seriously need to incorporate this into themes somehow. It is a serious problem everytime one has to upgrade pixelpost.
