lighting is pretty good, but for this particular shot you need a direct 90 degree profile shot to give the best view of her sillouette

the area to the left of the chair is disracting because the blaks start to blend a little, but nothing too bad

main thing is it should be a side shot really, you dont have a perspective with a silliouette, so the are normally head-on or from the side

i do like it though

Thanks for the comments, much appreciated. I will think about that more as I was going for the silhouette, but understand that it would have been stronger had she been 90 degrees.

I agree with the points about the distracting chair, but you can wave your hand and make it go away in photoshop without too much difficulty. I disagree though with the point about having a full ninety degree profile. I think this works really well at this angle. The side-view is a bit of a cliche - your image is nice and contemplative, but retains a humanity which abstracting to a side view might lose. Excellent image (and excellent images in general on your blog)
