Couple of reflection shots

Taken on the streets of Calgary after a much needed walk during a stupid fight with the girlfriend I find that if I'm not getting anywhere with her, I might as well grab my gear and go clear my head.

I posted comments to your blog. Nice pics. I like the first one better. I'd like to see more detail in the building in the reflection. Or, if the building is going to be that dark, maybe lighten the sidewalk?

I also think I would have preferred the images to be right side up (the building upside down), if that makes sense.

But very cool. Some nice colors. Great sharpness.

I agree with preferring the first over the second - having a more complete view of the building is more balanced.

i prefer the second actually! i think the car adds something nice to the frame.

i don't however like that bit of white plastic or whatever that rubbish is by the puddle - ugly and distracting.

sorry have to go with the majority on this one. 93 is better than 94, just feels like theres a main subject to it (the building) where as the other looks like a mistake.

Think I'll try going out next time I'm "in disagreement" with the wife

I cloned out the plastic bag that was beside the puddle after Joey pointed out that it was distracting, upon a second look I agreed, so I edited the post to reflect the new pictures on the blog.

i'm going to have to vote for the first one. i'm no expert, but i think the subject stands out more in the first one. (better use of rule of thirds perhaps?)
