Error with the font characters with Copy Folder 1.0

When I want to publish my brand new shots on my lovely photoblog I get strange results with the french characters we use ( like " pénélope ", ie )

All the strange chars generate bugs and the picture won't be published..

BUT if I use "Post a New Image" all the characters are properly translated and everything is fine.. strange, isn't it ?

the results are like : we have the brand new pix with the name of the files as titles but .. the thumb doesn't work [ and makes the webpage always refreshing .. yes, that's strange ! ]

In spanish there are problems too. I can't use "Composición", it willl be appear like Composición, Extraño like Extraño

I think there is a problem with the charset, but only when the data is recorded into de DB. If you replace the "error" via myphpadmin all works fine

I had the same problem and it seems that is not a problem of Pixelpost but a bug in some special PHP-versions

special characters in filenames are bringing wrong results

I just came home from airport, so I am sorry, I am not aware enough to remember which PHP v ersion it was

Ramin knows about it, he found out about that bug..

Problem can be with DB settings I think.

The best way is to use phpMyAdmin (or other software) and change encoding of all PP tables to UTF-8 for sure.
