Print Selling?

Not sure if this is the right thread or not, but got a question. A few of my fav photobloggers use paypal to sell their prints online, and they make individual pages like these:

http://dailysnap.com/prints.php?img=...rintsaction=do

http://noahgrey.com/printorder.php?p=584&s=2

That show the individual picture. I can manage the paypal stuff...and maybe Im just totally forgetting a supurb feature of PP, but how do you get the thumbnail of a pic onto an outside template (not browse, or image template) for each photo you have? (EG: Have a link on the image page: http://www.felloweskimo.net/photo/in...?showimage=171 that will link you to another template page that has a thumbnail on it.) Am I making sense? Post if you need clarification or if you have an answer. Sorry for the wordiness...

Hello Fellow Eskimo,

did you check out "Latest Thumbnail"-AddOn?
http://www.pixelpost.org/v1/index.ph...ads&details=80

I think there are also some postings with this topic, do a search for "latest thumbnail"

I'm sure that's what you want!

Actually, I dont think that is it. That is only the latest thumbnail...I want to be able to use the thumbnails already generated on individual pages. Like, when I upload an image, on the main site http://www.felloweskimo.net/photo it will show the photo, but on the bottom I want a link to another page that will have a "print template". I want to have another template like image_template to be able to make a print site. On that print site template, I will use the thumbnail...hmm, maybe Im way off base and not making any sense?

Thumbs up

you can create any template and use the tags
so why not make a copy of image-template.html, add the paypal-stuff, call it for example printshop-template.html

and load it to your template-folder?

Then you must link to it like this "index.php?x=printshop"

I would give it a try

Hello,

I'm interested in doing the same thing.

I've created a new template with relevant tags to show the information of the image (http://www.dynamicperceptions.com/ph...x.php?x=prints)

However, I can't figure out how to link to this page from the image_template page so that all the relevant info (such as thumbnail and title) are displayed.

TIA,

Cheers,

I'm struggling through this as well.

I want to display the title of the current photo being viewed in another page.

So, say a viewer likes a photo and wants to buy a print, ideally he should click on a link that says 'purchase this print' and be taken to another page that has the title of the image to be purchased plus ideally the thumbnail of the desired picture.

"Is this something that is not achievable in PP so essentially I am wasting time trying. If it is possible could anyone post the code that needs to be placed on:

A. The link which says "purchase this print" (in image_template)
B. The code that generates the title and or thumbnail in another template which might be called prints_template.html.

I am getting there with my design now and this is holding me back.

Many thanks as well for great support from the Dev team. You must despair at some of our questions ;-)
