Reply to comments?
I would like to see an addon that allows the logged in admin to write answers to comments - with possibilities to format the admin replies through CSS - and the admin replies are attached to the original comment post. Is there any easy way to do this, and if not: Is it a good idea?

I'd really like this. I'd like to be able to thank people for taking the trouble to comment on a shot. - that was the only thing I liked about MT.

i like the idea, maybe add the email field in the comment section, so when you reply you can check a box if they gave their email and it dispatches that you replied to their comment?
err...did that make sense... i just dont see more people coming back to see if you replied...better if they have a way of knowing

ok, i'd like to simply have commenters emails included as a mailto:abc@xyz.com link in the email that I get when somebody comments.
so yeah, like blinking8s says, an email field in the comments section would do that nicely. in MT, if someone doesn't leave a URL, the link in the comments is a mailto: for the address they give. would this be hard? I could cope with the php, but my mysql isn't up to it. |
