Addon Idea: Commentator List

I perculated an idea last night that I thought I'd share here.

Though I don't have time to code it myself, I was thinking it would be great to have an addon that sucks from the 'comments db' the 'Name' and 'URL' fields to generate a list of site commentators.

Does anyone have some energy to put into bring this idea to fruition?

Are you thinking about adding this as a new page? Or a tag for a current page? Or added to the admin system?
I can do all of the above for you, but i'd like to know how you were visualising it.

Wow, spectacular response speed!! I'm stoked by your response.

My wish would be for a tag I could add into an existing page (e.g. http://genestho.ca/genestho/index.php?x=links).

The tag would generate a list of non-repeating entries ordered something like, either: a) alphabetically, b) most active commentator, c) random...

It could look something like: http://www.photojunkie.ca/links/. So, showing perhaps the commentators name + site URL, where both would be a hyperlink to the commentator's site.

It may also be cool to have a limiter similar to the "most commented" addon that I use to limit how many days the addon will suck back from the DB.

I find this would be a great one-stop referencing system.

WP has similar system. each commentator has a karma. Low karma ones are spammers.
