which addon do you want?

i've been working on a few external projects recently, but i have some free time for Pixelpost development again.
i've started the following addons, but i'm not sure which to devote time to...
so cast your vote.

* categories mod
advanced categories, with logos and descriptions. including the facility to set your homepage to a category browse page without having to mess up your image template. this "mod" will constrain browsing through photos to the category selected, and so it will be good for portfolios or family websites.

* photo tags
this would let you specify certain tags (or keywords) for each photo as you upload them. your photoblog can then be browsed by keyword.
this addon would also let you create a "tag cloud" (or weighted list) somewhere on your blog, so visitors can see your keyword distribution (more popular keywords are displayed in a bigger font)

* text posts
a very basic blog engine for pixelpost, for posting news etc
this one will also come complete with a new template to replace your default homepage, which will have excerpts from your latest entries (both photo and text), with "read more" links, like most blog homepages..

* SWF posts
lets you post flash animations instead of photos

* database backups
an admin control panel page which lets you dump or restore a backup of your database. useful for archiving, or for moving your pixelpost installation to another server.

* other

i clicked categories mod - but i meant to click tags! tags would be cool.

Of all of these the "Categories" mod looks like it should be priority number one. Since Pixelpost is about the photos, and organization/good navigation scheme is probably the most important aspect in building any website.

I would be really thankful for that kind of add-on!

I managed the backup and I am just sitting on mailing it after uploading the images

will be an addition to my AdminAddOn where photo + thumbnail is emailed automatically...

I am just waiting for the correct workplace-name for 12CropImage and then I go

you can turn of 12CropImage and use Flash Crop addon and use that image_uploaded workspace as the place to send emails.

at the workspace "image_uploaded" the thumbnail is not created yet ;=(

Connie - okay, i didn't know you were working on that one.. will your version also allow you to download a database backup whenever you want? does it allow you to upload and "install" an old backup? this would be essential for people moving their pixelpost install between servers (i actually think an addon for doing this should be released with 1.5 stable.

Categorie mod and photo tag is my first choice. I think the database backup can work with phpmyadmin or other scripts.
