Choose startup page

It would be nice if you could choose your startup page.
So instand of "New Image" you can choose to startup in "GENERAL INFO".

Or is this more for a modification?

i think so too.. but sadly there's quite a few things i can't do with addons, so they do require semi-hacks (just adding "include()" lines).

To me it is definitly the "categorie mod". I think, this is something "basic" for photoblogs (and their visitors). But the "tag cloud" seems to be a fine addition, too...

I would have voted for a Backups AddOn, but souds as if someone already has that in the works.

Text Posts has some appeal......but for me probably not in the sense you envisioned. I don't have a need to have text posts flowing in amongst the photo stream, but it would be nice to have an easier mechanism for adding textual info to the 'About' page than having to edit the raw html file. And if it would provide some typical blog post type info, (who posted and when), that would really be about all I'd need. Even if the ability to add such info only existed from within the Admin page, I'd be a happy camper.

An idea that may already be doable and I just haven't figured out.....I would like to have the ability to display a 'Random' image in the db on my 'Home' page vs the latest image....and have it change each time a visitor passed by my site. The 'Current Image' would be just another menu item link on the Home page. Heck, I might even use the Collage AddOn as my 'Home' page if that were doable. Essentially, I guess I'm just asking to have the ability to have a choice for something other than the latest image be the first thing visitors see at my site.

as for changing your home page. i've done that one already check out:
http://test.touchnothing.net/dev

i just need to make a pretty frontend for it in the admin section.
